Archive: Artbreeder Faces

Artbreeder is a tool that lets you mix faces to create new ones my evolving different features. You can also start from a reference image. It can be a lot of fun to just play around with and, of course, fun to try and break it. Below are some images that are just pure Artbreeder generations, and some are based on uploaded photos. Also – Artbreeder is community-based, meaning your creations are often based on others, and in turn others will base theirs off of yours.

There are some celebrity/fictional characters included below, including Mario, Fleming’s original image of Bond, and an interpretation of Ron Stampler.

The Perversion of Mr. Bean

Uploaded a photo of Mr. Bean to Artbreeder, made some iterations, exported the images and imported to NightCafe (bottom), and then back into ArtBreeder (top).

Evolution Example

Here’s an example of how evolution works – different creations are “bred” together to create new results, which and thus be bred with others and so on for multiple permutations. This is all community-based, so often you’re using creations from other users, and in turn, they’ll use yours for other iterations as well.
